As you might already know I am a lover of all things pink… and that definitely includes lipsticks!! Does anyone else have the same issues as me where when I see a pink lipstick I just buy it? Like, do I really need to add another one to the collection?? YES I do!! Haha
I believe that pink is a versatile color that looks great in all seasons. I do notice it is more popular in the summertime as it is an easy color to incorporate into many different outfits, it also just has a nice light summer feel to it.
Recently, I got six new pink lippies that were on my MUST TRY list for the summer time. The pigment and colors are very important when choosing a lipstick; one thing that separates good lipstick from a great lipstick is the packaging… and trust me I am a sucker for packaging. Sometimes I solely buy things based on how cute and unique the packaging is.
- GUERLAIN La Petite Robe Noire – 002 Pink Tie
- GUERLAIN Rouge G de Guerlain – N888
- Lipstick Queen Lipstick Dating Game – Mr. Right
- GIVENCHY Rouge Interdit – N20 Wild Rose
- GIVENCHY Gloss Interdit Lip Gloss – N5 Rock N Rose
- Erborian Rose Infusion – One shade
I decided to swatch the lippies on marble as I find that not all lips are the same shade and change the integrity of the pigment.
To be completely honest I absolutely loved the texture of all the lip products! The Erborian Rose Infusion is an amazing substitute for any lip balm, I find it gave me a way longer hydration to my lips than any other product that I have ever tried before and the nice hint of pink is a bonus!
The GIVENCHY Gloss Interdit Lip Gloss I found to be a little thicker than the other glosses I have tried before but it also lasted longer on, so that made up for it. I actually got a lot of compliments while wearing it because of the light goldie/peachy sparkle it has. On the other hand the GIVENCHY Rouge Interdit lipstick went more on the pale side for me which was a nice change as it could be used more naturally and it was also very nice an hydrating.
Both the GUERLAIN La Petite Robe Noire and GUERLAIN Rouge G de Guerlain were divine! They smell amazing and seriously the best packaging! I would have to say that these two are my favorite ones not only for their looks but for their pigment. They were not too pale nor too vibrant, so just the perfect pop of color.
Last but not least, we have the Lipstick Queen Lipstick Dating Game which was a new brand to me. What initially attracted me to this brand what the packaging, as it was beautiful shade of pink… hello you can never go wrong with a full pink case! This was by far the most pop of color that I got from all the options, I think that this lipstick is best suited for an evening event or incorporating it into your power outfit.
Have you guys tried any of the brands above? If so, which one is your favorite and why??
Ps. This flower wall is so beyond gorgeous and was made by the Canadian company Veronneau. Make sure to check them out here!
