New Year, new me! Right? The biggest catch phrase at this time of year. I am happy that this is my first blog post of 2019 on New Year’s resolutions…. Each year, I usually set New Year’s resolutions; I find that I my follow-through is not always there. This year, I am changing that. 2019 is an exciting year that is going to be filled with new challenges and I am determined to set myself up for success in completing my New Year’s Resolutions. I decided to set three New Year’s resolutions that are very attainable and will have a positive impact on my quality of life.
NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS 2019
1. DIVERSIFY MY CONTENT TO MY NEW BRANDING
You might not know this… I have been in Calgary for a while now. Yet, somehow my Instagram seems to still be in London. It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year since I moved back; time has just flown by! It took some time to get everything sorted that I neglected Instagram a bit. I tried to bring over my “Insta-ways” to Calgary; it just didn’t fit… It took me a while to figure out what my rebranding would consist of. I will slowly start to switch over my feed to showcase more interior shots. I am going to incorporate home décor with flat lays, flowers, and coffee. Honestly I am excited and also scared as it’s a big change from what I currently post. I plan to keep the best parts of my Instagram, like travel photos, looking forward to creating my identity with this rebrand.
2. MAKE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE A PRIORITY
I always make a goal of working out more… I have the best intentions of trying and maintaining this goal and somehow, something comes up that stops me ;)… What I think happens, is that I just push myself more than I am capable of doing that I hurt myself. This year has been a hard one for me… it honestly felt like there was always something wrong. I did do the best I could to figure out things and learn and improve. Hopefully 2019 will be better for me and I need to put in my part. I want to work out at least two to three times a week. Where I am looking to make the most impact is in what I am eating; this will help dramatically in creating a healthy lifestyle. It doesn’t sound like a lot and I know it will provide a structure where I can improve myself.
3. FINALLY LEARN HOW TO DRIVE
Ok, yes… this is pathetic I know. It is shameful actually that I am 28 and don’t know how to drive. To be honest I have just never had the itch to learn. I have been in a couple collisions that really messed with me (LOL). Since the accident, being in cars has been really stressful. So I have a hard time imagining myself being behind the wheel. With that being said, this is the year, I am ready to conquer this fear and learn how to drive. I am hoping to make this New Year’s resolution happen by the end of June. That is right… learn in six months. I think I just have to rip off the band-aid and do it. Like… it can’t be that hard! right?
Well here you have it… my 2019 New Year’s resolutions. What are you resolutions?
Is there anything you would like to see more of? Any new content you would like to see from me?
